Benchmarking Training

For organizations aspiring to excellence and seeking recognition at the International Best Practice Competition (IBPC), the systematic use of benchmarking is strongly recommended.

Benchmarking enables organizations to learn from leading practices worldwide, accelerate performance improvement, and embed innovation into core processes. Crucially, it also provides strong, credible evidence for IBPC submissions—demonstrating that your organization’s approaches, learning, and results are leading-edge and superior to peers.

To support this journey, the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research (COER) delivers professional training in the globally recognised TRADE Best Practice Benchmarking Methodology. TRADE is specifically designed to support excellence initiatives and high-impact benchmarking, emphasising the exchange (“trade”) of best practices for mutual benefit between benchmarking partners.

COER offers Professional Benchmarking Certification, enabling individuals and organisations to formally demonstrate their capability and professionalism in benchmarking. The certification scheme comprises three progressive levels:

  • Foundation – building a strong understanding of benchmarking principles and the TRADE methodology
  • Practitioner – demonstrating the ability to effectively plan, lead, and deliver benchmarking projects
  • Mastery – recognising advanced expertise, leadership, and sustained impact through benchmarking

Achieving Professional Benchmarking Certification strengthens organisational capability and significantly enhances IBPC applications, signaling to judges and stakeholders that benchmarking activities are methodologically rigorous, professionally executed, and aligned with international best practice standards.

Build certified capability. Strengthen benchmarking credibility. Accelerate your journey to international best practice recognition.
